Training Times
Our regular Iaido training session (18+ years only) takes place every Monday (except for bank holidays), 9pm to 10pm.
The Iaido session takes place straight after our Bognor Regis Zen Judo Family session 7pm to 8:45pm Mixed session (Juniors 6+) and (Seniors 16+) All grades.
Beginners
If you want to come and try a training session, please arrive 30mins before the above stated Iaido training time in comfortable clothing, with long trousers. (Appointment only, so please contact us ahead of time).
The necessary weapons can be borrowed for the initial trial sessions directly from the dojo for free.
Sessions will give you an introduction into Iaido and after a period of regular training it is recommend you also find the opportunity come and train with us on Tuesday nights at Shin Bu Kan (Portsmouth).
Over time there will be opportunities to participate in all day training sessions led by Victor Cook Sensei Iaido Kyoshi 7th Dan, and to attend Seminars, Gradings and Taikai (competition) held by organizations such as The British Kendo Association and The European Kendo association.
Insurance
Please note that it is necessary to join the British Kendo Association (BKA) for insurance and grading purposes. The BKA is the governing body for Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo in the UK and is affiliated to the European Kendo Federation and the ZNKR. Before joining speak to Martin Robertson, the dojo leader, about the temporary membership scheme for new members.

Directions
We are located behind the Bognor War Memorial Hospital. Bersted Street is blocked off to traffic from the A29 Shripney Road, so you need to approach from the Chichester Road (B2259) and Bersted Street opposite the First Steps Nursery (the former White Horse Pub).
At the junction (Traffic Lights) of (B2259) Chichester Road with Town Cross Avenue turn into Bersted Street. Follow the road round to the right past the Hospital entrance (on the right) and Church Lane (on the left).
The entrance to the Hall car park is on the right, just after St. Mary Magdalene’s Church and before The Art Of Dance Studios (old Village School Building).
It is also possible to access the hall on foot from the A29 (Shripney Road) at the end of Bersted Street (BUT NOT BY CAR).
